Health condition backdrop & diet purpose
For many decades, urinary disease conditions have been commonly reported to Wysong by frustrated pet caretakers looking for solutions. More specifically, troublesome and painful struvite crystals have unnecessarily afflicted generations of domestic pets (primarily feline, but also canine).
Struvite crystals are the result of a stalled urinary system that has trended too alkaline (vs. acidic). Struvite is a natural component of healthy urine, but where the urine becomes unnaturally alkaline and struvite concentration builds, crystals may form.
So, why would domestic pet urine trend excessively alkaline? While images of wild nature and meats are often front and center in the marketing of pet foods, especially on the bags, the actual food composition may be fundamentally at odds with that portrayal. For example, it would not be uncommon for a commercial pet food to be 60-70% carbohydrates and just 10-20% meat. This sort of macronutrient balance does not create a sufficiently acidic environment. In direct contrast, the natural canine/feline diet is truly meat-based (plus organs, bones), low to no carbs, and acidic (producing urine of 6.0 - 6.5 pH). Additionally, and importantly, the natural diet is ~75% water while dry commercial pet foods are typically <10% moisture, so the domestic pet's urinary system is not flushed with natural food moisture either.
The modern domestic pet diet has simply strayed too far from the natural carnivorous food paradigm. Millions of domestic pets now find themselves in an aberrant dietary environment, almost entirely out of sync with their genetic expectations. Adverse health conditions like urinary diseases and struvite crystals are a common result. Consider:
Genes affect the response to diet, and diet affects the expression of genes. The more aberrant the dietary environment, (from the specific genome’s perspective), the more likely dysfunction and disease.
Nature plainly reveals the characteristics of a suitable canine/feline diet. The natural, archetypal diet is the inescapable foundation for long-term pet health, and the foundation for mending adverse health conditions.
Wysong ℞estore™ Urinary addresses the struvite crystals urinary health condition head on with a powerful, meat-based, high protein, high fat, and exceptionally low carbohydrate formulation. Just as nature intended. Added to the unparallel, meat-based kibble are targeted, effective nutrients like DL-Methionine and Ammonium Chloride to help your pet naturally eradicate crystals.
Combine with ample fresh water*, consider adding our Wysong Uretic™ canned diet for added nutrition & moisture, and let's see if we can rid your pet of this uncomfortable and undeserved health malady.
*If water consumption is a concern, keep in mind that the kibble may be crushed and blended with fresh water to create a paste or canned food like consistency, at your discretion.

GENERAL INFORMATION & INSTRUCTIONS
℞estore™ Digestive may be top-dressed on meals, offered as a snack, or fed as a singular meal either dry or soaked with water. (Allow 15 minutes for rehydration.) Proportionately greater benefit will be derived the more ℞estore™ Digestive is fed. For anorectic animals, rehydrated ℞estore™ Digestive in paste consistency can be force fed by "spooning" onto the palate using a tongue depressor (consult your veterinarian).
If fed as the primary source of nutrition, feed approximately ⅓ cup per 10 lbs. body weight per day combined with ½ of the recommended daily portion of high quality meat-based maintenance foods such as Wysong dry or canned. If weight gain is the objective, this amount of Digestive can be increased up to double or supplemented with PDG™ nutritional concentrate. As a nutraceutical supplement, scale down as directed by your veterinarian.
